Hotel is off the strip across the Convention Center. The hotel itself is the standard Springhill Suites. Room is nice and spacious. Staff was great. Breakfast was standard fare after day 2, gets boring. Unfortunately there is nothig within walking distance. Not sure I would walk to the strip from here either. A little bit beyond the hotel there is a Subway but it had sketchy clientele and loiters when i went. So, you will need to take your car around. Of course good eateries within driving distance. Overall, a good stay and it does the job if your doing something with the convention center. Enjoy!

As a lifetime platinum member, I was surprised to be charged $25 for checking in two hours early. Additionally, the $19 parking fee is less than ideal, especially considering nearby hotels offer free parking. These extra charges diminish the overall value of the stay for loyal patrons like me. I hope the hotel reevaluates such fees to enhance the experience for its lifetime members.

Rooms are tiny and our room was not properly prepared and ready for a Guest. As a Lifetime Platinum member, I have obviously stayed at 100's of Marriott/Starwood hotels around the world and my first impression here is not good. Putting together and finishing the setup of the room after a late arrival is a bad experience

DO NOT STAY HERE! I REPEAT DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOUR SAFETY IS A PRIORITY. This is a major multibillion dollar chain hotel, and it is unfathomable to believe with crime being at an all-time high; they do Not have any form of Video Surveillance or Camera system in their entire seven (7) story parking structure. While staying at this Hotel attending the PROJECT MAGIC trade show; and my vehicle was broken into with very large and extremely bulky items being stolen. Car theft I know is not an anomaly; however, the issue at hand is; this is LAS VEGAS and there is NOT one single CAMERA in the entire parking Structure which is unbelievable; and had to find out the hard way. However, the "bad guy criminals" know this parking structure is easy pickens for car theft, which I was told by a security personnel of the hotel. They said car thieves know this hotel's parking structure has no video surveillance system and routinely break into and steal cars. In addition, a guests' Cadillac was stolen just a week ago! Nonetheless my major concern is not solely my car being broken into. My anxiety is what potentially could have gone wrong should I happened to arrive at my vehicle while the theft was in progress. Well, we know how that story goes "FILM AT 11:00PM SPRING HILL SUITES LAS VEGAS CONVENTION ATENDEE KILLED WHILE ENCOUNTERING THEIVES BREAKING INTO THEIR CAR!” The saddest part of the situation, instead of being honest and forthcoming; when I went to the hotel’s management about the break in; they said they had no knowledge of it; however, their security personnel notified them in Shift Report of the incident. Please know in many cases The Cover Up is worse than the CRIME!

We stayed at the Springhill Suites for the SEMA show/fest. My husband has multiple chronic health issues, is a duo amputee and suffered a stroke in Feb. This was a bucket list trip for him. The show coincided with his 65th birthday. Prior to getting sick and losing his legs, he worked for a large aerospace company, traveled the world to fix airplanes and was loyal to the Marriott brand. He is a lifetime Platinum member. A lot of planning and time goes into a trip when disabilities are on board, and not having legs is a big one. I'm the trip planner in the family. After much research, I chose Springhill as they were very close to the convention center, had a guaranteed accessible room available and excellent reviews. And.... Marriott. We arrived and were told that although we booked an ADA room, it wasn't available. I had my confirmation that I'd printed the night before showing it was guaranteed. Sorry, not available. Renee' then began taking us to several different rooms to see if they'd work for us. It had been a long day of travel and while we appreciated her trying to accommodate us, if he was going to shower, we needed an ADA room. Finally we took a room with a tub, she said she'd bring up a shower chair and while not ideal, we had no choice. Town was sold out for the show. She discounted our room. I commented that the bed would be too high for him to transfer, and she said the couch was comfortable. Not what we had in mind. The shower chair was sent up. It was cracked with wobbly legs. He couldn't shower. We took the shower chair down in the morning, and asked for one that was stable. Hoping to avoid another night on the couch, we inquired if an ADA room had become available. It had. We waited until we could move our stuff and they sent up a shower chair with a back. When we got to the new room, we were shocked to see the beds were so high. ADA beds are recommended to be between 17 and 23 inches to enable a transfer, but these were closer to 34. My husband couldn't get into the bed. When someone has no legs, or no use of their legs, they need to be able to transfer. So, he spent all 4 nights on the couch. Because the bathroom floor was sloped the shower chair was unsteady (typically ADA rooms have a bench that's affixed to the wall), so I had to go in with him and help him transfer and hold the chair steady while he showered. Also, not what we had in mind. I can't tell you the stress and disappointment with this whole situation. A bucket list, birthday trip that he was nervous about taking. No one could tell me why the room was guaranteed and then given away. I was told everything from it must've been the code I booked under (huh?) to sometimes people extend and I should call the night before and make sure. Well, that doesn't work when you're traveling with a disabled person, are planning months in advance and buying plane tickets. In the end, we made the best of it. But, to pay almost a thousand bucks for 4 nights in a hotel where your only option is a hard couch, and needing assistance to feel safe in the shower was disappointing. Not to mention the time involved to tour other rooms, make a room move, wait for a shower chair etc. I was very upset about all of it, so decided to wait to do a review to see if I saw it any differently. I didn't. I don't think able bodied people really understand the challenges of those who aren't. Simple things like being able to sleep in a bed or take a leisurely shower become hurdles you need to face. You don't want to be "that" pain in the butt at the front desk, but at the same time, don't guarantee things that you're not going to deliver. And, why are you doing beautiful, large ADA bathrooms and hand controlled curtains and roll in vanities, but the beds can not accommodate those with no use of their legs, unless they can be picked up and carried? Okay, so the second part of this review... if you've made it this far.... is for abled bodied people. So many pluses to this hotel, if you can walk. Close proximity to the convention center, a very good restaurant on premises. A rooftop area we really enjoyed to look at the views and sit by the fire. The staff did their best to help us, and were very considerate when my daughter flew in (we had booked a separate room for her) to put her in an adjoining room without us requesting it. The frosted glass on the bathroom door other's have mentioned, was not a problem for us. We thought the set up was great. And, the beds (for those who can get in them) are very comfortable. It's also close to an excellent Italian restaurant that doesn't look impressive on the outside, but was wonderful on the inside. We had my husband's birthday dinner there and they made it so special. They really saved the trip for us. It was lovely. So, if you can walk and want to escape the strip, this place is great. If you have a person in a wheel chair, who has no use of their legs, stay clear. Unless you don't want to feel safe in the shower and want to sleep alone on a hard couch, and pay for the displeasure of doing so.
